Kees Cave - 1/07/2024

We had a great cave trip this past Sunday at Kees. After the non-existent snow storm that didn't hit VA, eight of us met up in WV and headed to the cave. In attendance was Harriet, Victoria, Maya, Aiden, Aubrey, Thaylor, Margo, and Karl. This was Victoria and Thaylor's first cave trips. Despite the lack of snow in VA, WV had received perfect snowball snow. After throwing a few snowballs and making a mini snowman, the eight of us headed down the steep hill to the cave entrance at about 12:45. We went in and spent the next two hours exploring all parts of the cave and chatting. There were some bones, some human poop, and lots of crawling. We hit pretty much every part of the cave and saw at least two different types of bats. We left the cave just after 3pm, threw a few more snowballs, and then headed back to Harrisonburg where we all went to Fiesta Maya Bar and Grill to eat Mexican food.
