Friars Hole (Ice Box) - 10/08/2023

Before heading in to Friars Hole we practiced our vertical skills on the tower at WVACS and then after dinner we spent time in the large building with the other groups on site trying to get around the traverse table and fitting our bodies through openings in chairs. There was then some solid sock wrestling and a few people went in to the WVACS cave on site

Casey, Margo, Karl, Katie, Murphy, and Harriet headed to Friars Hole. We headed into the cave at about 9:30am and came out around 1pm. We entered Friars through the icebox entrance doing three Rappels and then heading for the South Friars Steam Trunk (I think that was the name) and the Pool Room. We saw lots of crayfish and everyone loved the path to the pool room. After spending some time exploring we took turns hanging upside down from a rope, took some group photos, and had a cave rave.
